First Achieve's Engineering Division are hiring for a CNC Supervisor for their client who are a lead in recovery-vehicle manufacturing.

This is a hands-on role, responsible for proactively leading the efficient and effective operation of the Hydraulic Force department, delivering inspirational service to all our customers, both external and internal, and ensuring that we deliver the plan for the department.

Duties Include:

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC (XYZ) machinery and other related equipment
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the CNC machine shop
  • Allocate tasks, monitor workflow, and ensure production targets are met
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Continuously monitor and adjust machine settings to optimise performance and maintain product quality.
  • Ensure all products meet the company's quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Liaise with the Managing Director regarding production issues and improvements.
  • Use and being able to interpret detailed blueprints and drawings

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience working in managerial or supervisory role
  • Previous experience in the programming, setting and operating of XYZ CNC machines is essential
  • An ability to motivate and inspire team members to exceed targets
  • An ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with both colleagues and customers
  • An understanding of the demands of the role and the time and attention needed to produce impressive results
  • Experience in product costing
  • Understanding of CAD/CAM software
